Buchler Phillips, the independent corporate recovery and restructuring firm, has appointed industry figure Paul Davis as partner.
Davis, who is deputy VP of the Insolvency Practitioners Association, joins from national accountancy firm MHA MacIntyre Hudson, where he was a partner for more than 11 years.
In his earlier career, he was a partner in both corporate recovery group Begbies Traynor and accountants Levy Gee. He is a chartered accountant and licensed insolvency practitioner.
The firm said he will focus on both corporate and personal insolvency work and has “undertaken many solvent liquidations, including financial and monitoring, pre-lending and solvency reviews in a wide range of businesses”.
His specialist sectors include construction, property, manufacturing and engineering, in addition to extensive experience in retail, leisure, hospitality and health.
Co-founder and chairman, David Buchler, said: “This is an important appointment for Buchler Phillips, strengthening our expertise in key industry sectors and offering our clients access to one of the profession’s leading practitioners.
“The present economic environment is unsurprisingly prompting significant demand for our services, whether in business restructuring and turnaround, or administrations and insolvency. We look forward to working with Paul as we deploy the many tools at our disposal to support our clients in these difficult times.”
