Armstrong Watson promotes first ever development member to partner

Armstrong Watson has announced that Steve McCullough, business development and marketing director, has been promoted to the role of partner. The move is a first for the firm, marking the first time anyone from its business development and marketing team has been promoted to the senior level in the firm’s 153 year history. It comes as the firm said it has “stuck to its ambitious growth plans” despite the pandemic, which has seen it “actively nurturing talent” as well as recruiting during the crisis. McCullough’s promotion “demonstrates the important role business development and marketing plays in the firm’s plans for continued growth”, according to the group. He first joined Armstrong Watson from CN Media Group (now Newsquest) in 2018 as business development and marketing director, where he was based in Carlisle and working across Armstrong Watson’s offices across the North of England and Scotland.
