Lubbock Fine has appointed Shaharan Deen as tax director and Sharon Parker as senior VAT manager to its tax team.

Deen, a member of Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT), Association of Tax Technicians (ATT), and Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP Affiliate member) joins the firm as a tax and trusts director.

With nearly 20 years of experience, Deen has a background in advising clients on personal, trust, and estate tax matters.

Prior to joining Lubbock Fine, Deen worked for a “Big 4 accounting firm, a top 10 accounting firm, and one of London’s premier private client law firms”.

Parker, also a chartered tax adviser, joins the firm as a VAT senior manager with over two decades of experience.
Parker specialises in VAT planning, compliance reviews, advising on complex VAT liability and place of supply issues and negotiations with HMRC.

Before starting at Lubbock Fine, Parker worked for “several mid-tier accountancy firms, as well as one of the Big 4 accountancy firms”.

She also has an interest in advising on land and property transactions and financial services.

Phil Blackburn, tax partner at Lubbock Fine, said: “We are thrilled to welcome both Shaharan Deen and Sharon Parker to our team. Their extensive experience and knowledge in private client tax and VAT consultancy will be invaluable to our clients as we continue to grow our tax department.

“At Lubbock Fine we are committed to providing high-quality tax services that meet the unique needs of our clients. With the addition of Deen and Parker, we are confident that we can continue to deliver exceptional results and help our clients achieve their financial goals.”
