Azets has announced the appointment of Roger Eigenheer as deputy chief operating officer (COO), and he will be based in Belfast.

Eigenheer joins the firm from EY, where he set up the firm’s Delivery and Innovation Hub, focussing on technology enabled client delivery for the UK and Ireland and scaling it to deliver over £25m in fees per annum.

He is an experienced professional services leader with a background in technology, and he has scaled and led “large and diverse” teams and associated transformation programmes.

Previously, Eigenheer led multi-year client transformation contracts and programmes for Accenture and other global organisations. He started his graduate career with Jaguar Land Rover in the Midlands over 20 years ago.

Roger Eigenheer, deputy COO at Azets, said: “I’m thrilled to join Azets at this exciting stage of its journey, and motivated to meet the challenges and opportunities ahead. I am completely energised by our purpose – to improve the lives of our colleagues, clients, and communities, in a sustainable way – which I identify strongly with.”

Stephen Sharp, COO at Azets, added: “Roger brings a wealth of experience in many disciplines across leadership and the provision of consulting, tax, audit, and strategy and transaction services. Roger’s extensive background will support his contribution to the delivery of our ambition in years ahead.”

Chris Horne, group CEO at Azets, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Roger into the Azets family and further strengthen our leadership team. This is a perfect opportunity for Roger to do what he does best while supporting Stephen through our next growth phase. We have no doubt that Roger will be an integral part of our team.”
