PKF Littlejohn’s capital markets practice has appointed Dan Hutson to the team as an audit partner

Hutson’s appointment brings the number of specialist capital markets partners in the team to nine and is the firm’s third partner hire this year.

He brings almost 20 years’ experience in auditing listed and private companies, most recently as head of London audit and head of financial services at UHY Hacker Young.

Hutson has experience in the natural resources, financial services and TMT sectors.  He has worked with AIM listed oil and gas and mineral resources explorers and both public and private companies in the financial services and technology sectors.

Dominic Roberts, managing partner, said: “Our Capital Markets practice is growing strongly both in terms of the increasing number of companies it represents, but also the size and complexity of those companies.

“Dan has worked on a wide portfolio of clients from growing LLPs through to large international groups, assisting them on a range of issues such as Internal Financial Reporting Standards, IPOs, reverse takeovers and financial due diligence.  We want to harness that valuable experience and broad skills-base to support the continued growth of the practice.”

Hutson added: “I was attracted to PKF because of its client list and rapid expansion. I’m looking forward to working with the team to continue the growth trend.  I’m particularly eager to engage and develop relationships with colleagues across the international network.”
