UKEB establishes PAG advisory group

It comes as the UKEB is establishing six advisory groups that will provide specialist knowledge and information as input into its technical decision-making

The UK Endorsement Board (UKEB) has announced the establishment of its Preparer Advisory Group (PAG), welcoming its inaugural members to the team.

It said the members have been drawn from across a range of industries and bring a “wealth” of experience and knowledge.

Their expertise and input will reportedly be “invaluable” to the board, and the UKEB said it looks forward to engaging with them in the coming months.

New members include Ben Binnington, a UK Chartered accountant with 30 years’ experience in financial reporting in a number of technical roles, having previously been a senior manager at PwC.

Meanwhile, Cat Hoad is director secretariat to the 100 Group, managing the agenda for the informal network of FTSE 100 CFOs. Her career is founded in audit, building and leading international teams from the UK, Switzerland, Australia and India.

Chris Buckley also joins the group, qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in London and later moving to GlaxoSmithKline plc, and retiring recently after a 29-year career there in financial reporting.

New members also include Jo Clube, director of Accounting Policy Developments at Aviva PLC; Luke Kelly who is director of Accounting and Control at Travis Perkins who qualified as a chartered accountant at PwC; Toby Odell who is a Chartered Accountant with nearly 20 years’ experience, initially working in the UK, Denmark and Australia as an external auditor with KPMG.

Stephen Morris and Oliver Hexter also join the group.

It comes as the UKEB is establishing six advisory groups that will provide specialist knowledge and information as input into its technical decision-making. The four standing advisory groups are for: Academics, Accounting Firms and Institutes, Investors and Preparers.
