The national tax practice saw a total of five partner promotions, including corporate tax specialists Patrick Curry in Manchester, Phil Melia in Cambridge and Sarah Hall in London, as well as Richard Holm in the VAT team (Bristol) and private client tax specialist Heather Pendlebury (Preston).

There were four promotions in the firm’s national audit team – Alan Summerfield in London, Caroline Watson in Guildford, John Guest in Manchester and Mitul Raja in Leicester; and three promotions in the transaction team with Ed Pipe (London), Nick Wyatt (Manchester) and Sarah Barry (Gatwick) becoming corporate finance partners.

In addition, risk assurance specialists Catherine Brittain and Clive Makombera (London); Sarah Belsham in the national technology team (London) and legal services director Tristan Mutimer (London) were all promoted to partner.

Rob Donaldson, chief executive officer at RSM UK said: “I’m thrilled to welcome these sixteen exceptionally talented colleagues to our partnership. We are committed to growing our own people – investing in development and creating a culture where our people can shape the career they want, so it’s great to announce so many partner promotions this year.

“Our business is accelerating. Globally, RSM was the fastest growing network amongst all Top 10 firms in 2021 and we’re working hard to deliver an ambitious growth plan. Our new cohort of partners come from a range of specialists that support the ever changing needs of middle market businesses and their input will be crucial in delivering a premium experience for our clients and people.”
