Azets unveils two new promotions at Evesham office

Lin Andrew, partner, said Stuart and Josh’s promotions recognise their ‘hard work’ and ‘development’, and the firm looks forward to supporting them in developing their careers and in turn, growing the business in line with its ‘strategic’ plan.

Azets has promoted Stuart Christy to partner and Josh Hughes to assistant manager at the Evesham office.

After qualifying in 2007, Christy worked with a number of independent practices, before joining Azets Evesham as an associate director in 2018. He is a fellow chartered accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Within his new role, Azets said Christy will continue to develop the client profile of Azets through the bespoke and personal service the company provides, as well as raising awareness of the company and taking a leading role in implementing the roll out of new processes and systems.

Supported by the team at Evesham, Christy will also be leading the continued development and progression of the office.

Meanwhile, Hughes began his accountancy career at a local accountancy firm in Worcester as an apprentice. After completing the Association of Accounting Technicians qualification and gaining three years’ experience he moved to Azets Evesham in February 2019.

The firm said he aims to complete his Association of Chartered Certified Accountants’ studies in 2022 to become a chartered certified accountant.

Lin Andrew, partner at Azets, said: “It’s an exciting time for us as we continue to develop our teams to match the demand for our services. Stuart and Josh’s promotions recognise their hard work and development, and we look forward to supporting them in developing their careers and in turn, growing the business in line with our strategic plan.”
