KPMG expands consulting team with three new partners

KPMG UK has announced it has expanded its corporate consulting team with the addition of three new partners.

Julia Spain, Clare Maio and Serdar Cabuk have all been hired by the firm to “strengthen” its client offerings in risk and cyber security.

Spain will show key focus on FMCG and life sciences and healthcare. KPMG said she will drive a “critical business value focus” and will also be delivering the firm’s privacy and data risk strategy, as part of the broader data practice.

According to the firm, Spain has more than 20 years’ experience in industry and consulting and spent almost a decade in government, leading on counter terrorism and nation state cyber threats to the UK.

Maio will primarily support clients in updating how they handle traditional risk and controls requirements, as well as emerging environmental, social and governance obligations. She moves from Accenture, where she was managing director in the resources team.

Cabuk also joins the firm and will be primarily working on consumer and energy sectors, where his expertise in technology and risk transformations will help clients “better manage” their cyber and digital risks. In his last role he was a managing partner at Deloitte, leading the nordics cyber risk practice.
