Welsh tax advice firm rebrands as part of expansion plans

A Welsh tax advice firm has rebranded as part of its recent expansion plans and to mark its work in saving more than £4m a month in missed tax relief for its clients.

Formerly known as HJR Tax, the newly rebranded Zeal began as a three-person start-up, now employing over 30 people, and has many high-profile clients including the Celtic Manor’s International Convention Centre Wales and Brains Brewery.

As part of its expansion plans, the firm now has two offices in Newport and Worcester, and recently appointed several tax industry specialists to open new lines of service in R&D tax credits, tax advisory and tax fee protection insurance.

Matt Jeffery, Zeal’s managing director, said: “When we first came up with the idea for the business, we’d identified a gap in the market.

“We decided not to compete with the ‘big boys’ but instead help those who would benefit most from tax incentives, or who had no idea they were even an option for them.”
