Sage, the cloud business management solutions provider, has announced the launch of a duo of new apps on the Sage Marketplace.

Designed to support accountants in delivering increased value to their clients, the apps are fully integrated with Sage Accounting and designed to automate processes.

The two apps come in the form of “Clarity” and “Silverfin”, and are intended to streamline compliance and financial reporting, provide real-time visibility of clients’ data, and allow accountants to provide insight with business advisory services.

The Clarity app is a “complete business advisory platform” that enables accountants to understand their clients’ data in order to offer step-by-step guidance.

Whereas the Silverfin app is a connected accounting cloud platform that “automates compliance and advisory workflows”.

Chris Downing, director of product marketing at Sage, said that he has experienced “first-hand” how small businesses look to their accountants for “strategic business advice”.

He added: “Together with our partners, Sage is committed to delivering innovative solutions to accountants, focused on eliminating the burden of time-consuming administration and championing accounting professionals as the client’s most trusted advisor.

“At the core of today’s announcement is the next generation of data-driven, digital accountants.”
