Independent tax firm, Atc Tax, has announced the appointment Max Porter as a private client director.

Porter has almost a decade of experience within the personal taxation industry, he joined the company from The Fry Group, where he held the position of assistant manager of the UK tax team.

Prior to this, he worked for tax and ‘Big Four’ accountancy firm EY, where he was responsible for supporting UK expats on various aspects of their tax affairs.

Porter said: “This is a challenging and worrying time for UK expats, particularly for those who are in the process of moving, and their tax affairs may not be at the top of their priorities right now.

“Joining Atc Tax is an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality and accessible tax advice to ease the concerns many expats have. I am looking forward to working with Atc Tax to assist clients in need and deliver a personalised experience that gets their tax affairs in order effectively while making them feel valued.”

Finn Houlihan, managing director added: “Following the recent launch of Atc Tax, we welcome the appointment of Max as a private client director, which will continue our growth within the tax advisory space.

“Max’s expertise when it comes to tax advice will help to deliver a high-quality service that helps clients overcome the challenges they currently face. Max will play a key role in widening the reach of Atc Tax and ensure expats see the company as the go-to place for their concerns.”
