The Accountancy Partnership is marking its 20th anniversary this month, having grown from a local start-up into a national firm employing more than 130 people.

Managing director Lee Murphy founded the business in April 2006. The firm launched with the aim of providing affordable and accessible accounting services for small businesses.

The company moved through several offices before establishing its current headquarters at Pandle House on the Wirral. It now supports thousands of clients across the UK.

The firm also provides entry-level roles and structured training through an accounts junior scheme. Many original staff members remain with the business in senior management positions.

Murphy said: “When we started, there were just a handful of us and a clear idea of how accounting should work. Twenty years later, the business looks very different, but the principles haven’t changed.

“The Wirral has always been home for us. As we grow nationally, it’s important that we continue creating opportunities locally and investing in the people who make the business what it is.”
