Tax advisory firm RCK Partners has announced a partnership with Hogan Consulting to increase its presence in Ireland.
The firm, which specialises in research and development tax credits, intends to deepen engagement with Irish businesses seeking tax incentives.
The move follows the publication of the Irish government’s research and development tax credit and innovation compass.
RCK Partners plans to expand its on-the-ground team this year while utilising strategic advice on the local market.
Hogan Consulting is led by Phil Hogan, who served as a Fine Gael minister and European commissioner.
Hogan was a Teachta Dála for Carlow–Kilkenny between 1989 and 2014 before holding senior government roles in finance and the environment.
Hogan also served as European commissioner for agriculture and rural development and later as European commissioner for trade. His consultancy will advise the firm as it navigates the Irish regulatory landscape for innovative companies.
Sophie Spells, group chief executive at RCK Partners, said: “Ireland has a strong and growing innovation economy, and we see significant opportunity to support businesses that are investing in research and development within the region.
“Working with Hogan Consulting enables us to deepen our understanding of the Irish market. Phil’s insight and long-standing advocacy for Irish business will be invaluable as we continue to expand our presence in Ireland.”
Hogan said: “I’m pleased to be working with RCK Partners as they grow their operations in Ireland. R&D tax credits can play an important role in supporting Irish businesses to thrive, but navigating the system can be complex.
“By working together, we can help more companies understand what support is available to them and contribute to a strong and sustainable Irish business ecosystem.”
