The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) has introduced a Technology in Finance certificate series for finance professionals.
The four-part programme is designed to address skills gaps identified in the organisation’s Global Talent Trends survey, which found that 50% of respondents were concerned about their ability to meet future workplace technology requirements.
The certificates are aimed at finance professionals seeking continuous professional development (CPD) and employers looking to update the technical capabilities of their teams.
The series is divided into four specific areas, including data analytics, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence (AI) and organisational transformation
The curriculum was developed following insights from more than 900 finance leaders regarding the impact of technology on the profession.
Individuals have the option to enrol in the full series or select specific certificates relevant to their current roles.
Enrolment has opened for the first certificate in the series, Data Analytics for Finance Professionals, via the ACCA Learning platform.
Alan Hatfield, executive director of content, quality, and innovation at ACCA, said: “Technology is already reshaping finance and embracing these innovations is just one of the ways that we’re redefining accountancy. These new certificates will give professional accountants and their employers the tools to thrive in this fast-evolving world.”
