UHY’s Nottingham office has expanded its audit, tax and accounting and business services teams with eight new appointments, as the firm continues to invest in staff development and client capacity.
Four hires have joined the audit team, including audit manager Megan Garner, who previously worked at a big four firm and mid-tier practices. She is joined by assistant manager Katie Melbourne and senior audit associates Rebekah Carré and Katie Atkinson.
Garner said: “It is an exciting time for growth at UHY and its noticeable commitment to delivering high-quality services and its investment in helping its people develop really attracted me to the role, as I make the step up in my career to audit manager.”
In corporate tax, Enda McAleavey has been appointed assistant manager, bringing more than four years of experience in corporate tax compliance and advisory work from regional firms in Belfast. Cherie-Leigh Taylor has also joined as corporate tax semi-senior.
McAleavey said: “I’m looking forward to supporting UHY’s diverse client base to help them navigate complex corporate tax matters. It’s great to be part of a team that values collaboration and will give me the platform to grow within this managerial position.”
Meanwhile, the accounting and business services team has welcomed Tarah Williams as assistant to support owner-managed businesses with day-to-day financial management and reporting. Ava Blackwood has been appointed payroll administrator to help meet rising demand for both traditional and cloud-based payroll support.
Andrew Timms, managing partner of UHY’s Nottingham office, added: “Our latest appointments across audit, tax and accounting business services showcase our ambitions to meet the evolving needs of clients in the region, all while still maintaining the benefits that a medium-sized firm can offer for client relationships.
“By providing our team with extensive support and room to grow in their areas of specialism, we are better placed to help our clients prosper and provide the personal, proactive advice that UHY is synonymous with in Nottingham and the East Midlands.”
