Dains Accountants has made two senior promotions in Scotland as part of its plans to expand advisory support for private companies and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across the UK and Ireland.
Lorna Logan has been promoted to director within the firm’s accounts and advisory team, while Laura Nicoll becomes associate director. Both are based in Ayrshire.
Logan, a qualified member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), works with owner-managed and growing businesses across Scotland. She coordinates services spanning accounts, tax, audit and payroll, and focuses on helping clients adopt digital and cloud-based systems to improve operations and growth planning.
Meanwhile, Nicoll, who joins the leadership team within Dains’ healthcare division, supports GP practices, independent clinics and care providers. She advises on financial management and compliance matters including NHS pensions and superannuation.
Graeme Bryson, regional managing partner for Scotland, said: “I’m delighted to recognise Lorna and Laura’s progression. Their appointments enhance how we support owner-managed businesses and healthcare providers across Scotland, strengthening our ability to deliver sector-aware advice and consistent client outcomes.”
Logan added: “I’m honoured to step into this role at such a pivotal time. I believe accountancy is more than numbers, it’s about guiding businesses with clarity, confidence, and purpose. I’m excited to lead with integrity, inspire growth, and help our clients thrive in an ever-changing world.”
Nicoll said: “I’m proud to step into associate director. My priority is quality and consistency in delivery, so clients always have the information they need, when they need it. I’m looking forward to supporting the team’s development and making our processes even smoother for clients.”
