Ensors Accountants has announced the promotion of directors Ben Croston and Jamie Waller to associate partner as part of a wider strengthening of its leadership team, following the firm’s merger with Azets earlier in September.
Croston, who joined the firm in 2014, works with owner-managed businesses on corporate finance transactions and recently qualified as a chartered tax adviser. He will continue to focus on advisory and deal work alongside Ensors’ four corporate finance partners, supported by Azets’ national and international network.
Meanwhile, Waller joined Ensors in 2023 to lead its move into Norwich city centre and develop its presence in Norfolk. With long-standing professional links across East Anglia, he heads the firm’s dedicated Norfolk corporate services team.
Ensors’ integration into Azets, one of the UK’s 10 largest accountancy firms, forms part of the group’s newly created Eastern region. The firm said the appointments reflect its commitment to developing internal talent and building the next generation of leaders.
David Scrivener, regional managing director for the east at Ensors, said: “Ben and Jamie join the leadership team at an exciting time as we embark on the next phase of our growth journey with Azets. Both have made significant contributions to the success of Ensors to date, Ben with corporate finance and Jamie leading our Norwich office opening.
“I look forward to seeing them thrive in their new roles as they help shape the future of the business.”
