Accountancy firm Crowe has promoted Matthew Howard and Marc Newman to partners in its audit practice.
Howard joined Crowe as a trainee in 2007 and works with a range of corporate and non-profit clients.
His experience includes statutory audits, Historical Financial Information (HFI) audits for companies preparing to list, and reviews of acquisition balance sheets.
Meanwhile, Newman, who has been with the firm since 2006, has 19 years’ audit experience and has served as a director and Responsible Individual since 2023.
He acts for owner-managed businesses, private equity-backed companies and AIM-listed groups, and has worked as a reporting accountant on several listings. His experience covers sectors including manufacturing, construction, software and international trade, with expertise in both UK GAAP and IFRS.
The appointments come alongside the promotion of Hayley Ives to tax resolutions partner, also effective this month. They follow recent partner promotions in insolvency, restructuring and corporate audit.
Nigel Bostock, chief executive of Crowe, said: “We operate in an increasingly regulated market, with continuous expectations from our regulators and clients. As we continue to grow our teams and capabilities across the firm, Matthew and Marc will play an important role in further building on our audit expertise.”
