Wilder Coe appoints Daniel Djanogly as Forensics partner

Wilder Coe appoints Daniel Djanogly as Forensics partner

Wilder Coe has announced the appointment of Daniel Djanogly as a Forensics partner at its City of London office. Djanogly brings over 30 years of specialist experience in forensic accounting and dispute resolution, further strengthening Wilder Coe’s capabilities in complex commercial litigation and alternative dispute resolution (ADR).

Djanogly is one of UK’s rare dual-qualified Chartered Accountant and Chartered Arbitrator, recognised for expertise and experience in contested accounting, financial loss, share valuation issues in M&A, shareholder, partnership and other complex disputes, and fraud.

Claimants, defendants, or both, appoint him as independent forensic accountant across a wide range of industries to provide advisory services for settlement purposes through to opinion evidence as expert witness in ADR procedures and High Court litigation. He is accredited by both the ICAEW and The Academy of Experts, and has testified in numerous High Court proceedings and ADR forums.

In addition to his forensic work, Djanogly is an experienced expert determiner and arbitrator. Parties appoint him as expert determiner to resolve disputes in relation to completion accounts, purchase price adjustment, deferred consideration, and contested share valuations.

As arbitrator, he is appointed by parties to resolve their business disputes by arbitration. The arbitrations deal liability, damages, quantum, interest, and costs, are conducted on an ad hoc basis or under institutional rules and are subject to English arbitration law. He serves on the Panel of Arbitrators of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

With AI and new technology shaping the way work is conducted, changing legislation and the growth in litigation funding, there are many trends shaping the future of forensic accounting and business dispute resolution.

He said: “Clients value the objective input of an experienced independent Forensic Accountant; they want to know they are in safe hands. Whilst navigating an evolving corporate landscape, global financial crime and digital transformation, clients must engage with specialists they can rely on. Managing their expectations throughout the process and having trusted experience within the arena is crucial to delivering independent forensic accountancy services.

“Furthermore, in suitable cases, parties involved in business disputes value experienced expert determination and arbitration tribunals with expertise in the subject matter of their disputes for availability and procedural flexibility in private and away from the public exposure of litigation through a backlogged and rigid court system.”
