Accountancy, audit, tax, and advisory firm Bishop Fleming is celebrating its sixth consecutive year of growth in apprentice recruitment, welcoming 73 new apprentices across its nine South West and West Midlands offices.
The new joiners – a mix of graduates, school leavers, and placement students – mark a significant milestone in Bishop Fleming’s long-term investment in the next generation of professionals. The achievement comes five years after the firm became an accredited Apprenticeship Employer Provider, underlining its commitment to developing talent through structured career pathways.
In 2025, the firm ranked 11th in The Sunday Times Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers, ahead of sector giants including KPMG, EY, BDO, Mazars, and Azets. Ofsted also rated the scheme Outstanding across all five key areas, highlighting the quality of education, leadership, and apprentice support.
Each recruit benefits from a 100-day induction, training with the ICAEW – where Bishop Fleming is a Partner in Learning – and “clear long-term development routes”.
Anna Averis, partner and chief people officer, said: “Our apprenticeship programme is a cornerstone of how we build the future of Bishop Fleming. To welcome 73 new apprentices in 2025, while being recognised nationally, demonstrates the strength of our offer and the confidence we have in the next generation. Our Better Growth strategy is about creating opportunity, developing skills, and sustaining excellence – and our apprentices are vital to making that a reality.”
Andrew Sandiford, managing partner and CEO, added: “I am proud to welcome our 2025 intake, who join us at a time of strong growth and momentum for the firm. Their talent and ambition will play a key role in driving our success. Our apprenticeship programme proves that we can compete and lead nationally as an employer of choice. I encourage anyone looking for a career that combines development, challenge, and purpose to explore our 2026 opportunities.”
