Cooper Parry has partnered with Scottish technology incubator CodeBase as part of its expansion into the country’s tech and high-growth business sector.
The move builds on a series of recent senior appointments in Scotland, including Neil Norman as head of Scotland earlier this year.
Edinburgh-based CodeBase is a tech ecosystem builder, supporting more than 1,800 start-ups and scale-ups in Scotland, the UK and internationally through education, mentorship, networking and investment connections.
It runs the £42m Techscaler programme for the Scottish government, aimed at increasing the number of successful technology start-ups.
Cooper Parry’s Scottish team has taken part in events including Turing Fest and Glasgow Tech Week, leading sessions on finance and investment readiness.
It said that the CodeBase partnership “goes beyond a typical client-adviser relationship and reflects its focus on specialist, growth-oriented services for fast-scaling businesses”.
This is the first in a three-part series from Cooper Parry’s tech and high-growth team, exploring its partnership with CodeBase and how it is backing Scotland’s “most ambitious” founders.
The firm has doubled its Scottish team in under a year, supported by its UK network of 1,800 staff, including 130 specialists in technology and high-growth sectors.
Stephen Coleman, chief executive and co-founder of CodeBase, said: “Scotland’s tech ecosystem is full of potential – but to unlock it, we need more than just capital or talent. We need the right partners who understand the complexity of scaling, the urgency of innovation, and the long game of ecosystem building. That’s why working with Cooper Parry feels like a pivotal moment.”
Norman added: “Working with CodeBase is a strong signal to the ecosystem that CP is here and there’s a changing of the guard. Their impact on the Scottish Tech and High Growth space has been nothing short of monumental. This partnership gives us a powerful platform to support more of the country’s most ambitious founders.”
