Evelyn Partners has been named as the official wealth management partner of  Manchester City Women.

Striker Khadija Shaw will become an ambassador for the financial services firm as part of the deal.

The two organisations will also collaborate on two initiatives, Rethink Rehabilitation and Rethink Retirement, to support players in planning for their futures.

Through this partnership, Evelyn Partners, which manages more than £62bn in assets, aims to support players at every stage of their financial journey.

The Rethink Rehabilitation programme will offer tailored support to players recovering from injury, helping them manage time away from the game and explore other opportunities.

Meanwhile, Rethink Retirement is aimed at players preparing to retire, offering guidance on long-term financial planning, career transitions and personal development.

Shaw, Manchester City’s all-time top goalscorer, will help promote the importance of financial education and wellbeing in her new role with Evelyn Partners.

Charlotte O’Neill, managing director at Manchester City Women, said: “At City, we believe in developing world-class athletes on the pitch – and strong, confident individuals beyond it. The partnership with Evelyn Partners represents a shared commitment to ensuring our players are set up for success both now and in the future.

“Through the Rethink programmes, this partnership will deliver meaningful and lasting support for players – allowing them to access new opportunities and build the foundations for a strong, successful future.”

Andrew Middleton, chief marketing and commercial officer at Evelyn Partners, added: “Like Evelyn Partners, Manchester City Women is an organisation constantly asking: ‘What’s next?’ The club has been consistently pioneering in the professionalisation of women’s football, leading the way across youth pathways, elite infrastructure and matchday experience.

“Through the partnership we’re announcing today, we’re delighted to be helping Manchester City Women continue to lead the way, with our joint collaboration on two new player care programmes. These will help support the players as their careers and financial journeys develop.”

Middleton concluded: “As part of the partnership, we couldn’t be more thrilled to have Bunny Shaw become an official ambassador for Evelyn Partners. Bunny brings passion and energy both on and off the pitch and she will be an inspirational role model for championing financial education and wellbeing, as together we seek to address the female wealth advice gap.”
