Forvis Mazars has announced that it has brought forward its commitment to achieve net zero emissions across its business and value chain by five years to 2045.
The firm has stated that it has been keen to share its knowledge and expertise more widely by expanding its thought leadership.
As part of this it is continuing to support the development of sustainability standards and guidance through external panels, committees and media content.
In 2024, Forvis Mazars continued to engage with local communities to encourage and facilitate social mobility and education.
The firm increased its engagement with IntoUniversity, a UK charity which helps to break down personal and systemic barriers to education and employment, with the Forvis Mazars team hosting a sustainability hackathon for students supported by the charity to deepen their knowledge of sustainability and develop their digital innovation skills.
The firm also expanded the number of work experience placements for underrepresented demographics by 77%, as well as running its inaugural Spring Insight programmes, giving students from underrepresented backgrounds the opportunity to experience a day at the firm.
As part of the firm’s commitment to the public interest and the delivery of high-quality services, Forvis Mazars has reviewed and updated its quality assurance measures, including enhancing the delivery of their Quality Risk Management training to increase engagement.
Forvis Mazars CEO, James Gilbey, said: “At Forvis Mazars, we take pride in our ability to evolve as we continuously prepare for what’s next. Our approach to sustainability reflects our forward-looking approach, aiming to create lasting positive change, not just for our people and clients, but for society as a whole. Over the past year, we have made meaningful strides in pursuit of this vision and this is something we remain committed to as we continue to grow our business.”
