FRP has announced that it has advised French manufacturers Steliau Technology on its acquisition of Alpha Micro Components.

The deal, completed for an undisclosed sum, will see Steliau Technology enter the UK market for the first time.

Steliau specialises in the supply of electronic parts including screens, connectors and cables to manufacturers in the aeronautical, automotive, rail, telecom and consumer sectors.

The move represents the latest phase of Steliau’s European expansion following recent acquisitions in Italy and Spain.

FRP’s Financial Advisory team, led by director Joanne Price and partner Chris Adlam, was appointed to provide cross-border financial and tax due diligence on the deal.

The FRP team reviewed the historic and forecast trading performance alongside net assets and cashflows to identify key risks.

Price said: “It was a pleasure to support Steliau Technology and its advisers with this acquisition, which provides an excellent strategic fit, giving the business a foothold in the UK and Ireland for the first time.

“Alpha Micro Components’ in-house expertise has helped it become a well-established and respected business in the UK and Ireland and this deal will only benefit both parties. We look forward to watching their continued growth in the years to come.”

Pascal Reynoud, CEO of Steliau Group, added: “We are very proud to welcome Alpha Micro to the Steliau group. This company, expert in its market and with its customers, will benefit from all the support and strength of our group to accelerate its growth in its territory.”
