Fortus has announced the launch of its 2024 apprenticeship programme, known as the Fortus Academy, which is designed to “nurture the next generation of industry talent”.The academy provides an opportunity for individuals to build their careers, offering “hands-on” experience and training in audit, accountancy, tax and payroll. Each apprentice will have access to a dedicated mentor to guide them

The firm said its academy “not only equips apprentices with essential skills but also ensures that they are supported and mentored by experienced professionals throughout their journey”, with a holistic approach that enables apprentices to gain experience across a wide range of disciplines.

By providing a “structured, flexible” learning path, Fortus said apprentices can gain a range of qualifications that align with their career aspirations, including AAT, ACA, ATT, CTA, CIPP and Payroll administrator.

The academy is open to school leavers, college graduates, and individuals looking to make a career change.

Zoe Waring, head of People at Fortus, said: “We believe in investing in people. Our Academy’s  not just about training individuals for a role – it’s about supporting them in achieving their long term career goals. We’re deeply committed to ensuring that our apprentices receive the support, education, and opportunities they need to flourish both professionally and personally.”

Craig Herbert, CEO at Fortus, added: “We’re not just looking to fill roles; we’re building careers. Our Academy provides a solid foundation for ambitious individuals to grow with us as we shape the future of business advisory.”
