Champion Accountants has announced that applications are currently open for two accounts and audit trainees at the firm’s office in Chester.

The firm, which boasts a strong training programme, has launched the careers of many young finance trainees over the last decade.

Previous trainees have been supported and fully funded in their AAT and ACCA studies, and have gained real-world experience under the guidance of Champion professionals.

Former trainees also currently hold senior positions within the accountancy group, including leadership and director roles.

Having already secured its 2024 trainee cohort in Preston and Blackpool, Champion Accountants’ Chester practice is searching for two accountancy and audit trainees to join the business this summer, upon receipt of their Year 13 exam results.

Andrew Hopwood, partner at Champion Accountants, said: “Our trainees are the lifeblood of Champion. We appoint every new trainee with a long-term position in mind, and an exhaustive traineeship scheme lined up to support them through their studies and the first steps of their careers towards becoming fully qualified accountants and auditors.

“Our trainee scheme is a business priority. We invest time, money, and thought into providing an environment where they can flourish. Whether at Champion or not, I would advise anyone to consider a traineeship. It’s a sound financial decision. Your studies are funded, you earn while you learn, you gain practical experience, build your professional network on the job, and claim your qualification without the burden of student debt.”

He added: “Of course, we believe our scheme is the very best – and we look forward to welcoming some future financial stars this year.”
