Beever and Struthers has appointed Ann Bibby as tax partner to its Birmingham and Manchester offices.

Bibby brings over 20 years of experience as a chartered tax adviser and qualified accountant, specialising in a wide range of business and personal tax matters, having worked in both large regional and international accountancy firms.

She specialises in advising entrepreneurial businesses and their shareholders, from start-ups through to exit and sale.

The firm said her wealth of experience will strengthen its corporate and business tax offering.

Maria Hallows, executive partner, said: “We are delighted to welcome Ann to the firm as we continue to grow and expand further.  Ann’s extensive experience and strong track record in advising companies, entrepreneurs, wealthy individuals, and their families in all aspects of tax will be invaluable to our clients. Ann has a unique insight and understanding of the challenges clients can face.”

Bibby added: “I’m joining Beever and Struthers at a time of growth for tax advice within the profession. The vision that the firm has for personal client relationships, and its focus on helping clients navigate the complex world of tax, complements my own aspirations. I am excited to apply my technical knowledge and experience of understanding tax nuances to help Beever and Struthers’ clients achieve their goals.”

Alongside Bibby’s appointment, there have been more than 20 members of the firm’s team promoted in its annual review this year, including Zoe Fitchett to director in Manchester and Munir Karim to director in London.

Hallows added: “It’s great to see and to celebrate so many people progressing in their careers with us. The promotions are all thoroughly well-deserved and testament to the commitment and dedication each and every person has shown on their career journey so far.

“Our investment in technology alongside our learning and development programme ensures that colleagues have a clear career pathway. Not only is it fantastic for our people, but it also ensures a bright future for Beever and Struthers’ next generation who play an integral part in helping us reach our aim of ‘achieving better’ alongside our long-term sustainable growth goals across our business – audit, tax and advisory.”
