Crowe has announced the appointment of Dan Town to partner in the firm’s audit practice, effective from tomorrow (1 September).
Town has more than 22 years of experience in providing audit, risk and accountancy support to businesses of all sizes from owner-managed businesses, large corporates, international groups and AIM-listed entities.
He also has experience in working with clients in sectors such as manufacturing, real estate, contracting, retail and sport, advising clients on accounting, technical matters, and group reorganisations.
In his new role, he will be responsible for providing audit and advisory services to the corporate market, both public and privately-owned, ensuring that they meet their audit compliance requirements and advising on changes in reporting requirements.
Town’s appointment comes at a time where there continues to be changes to the regulatory and accounting environment, such as the proposals set out in FRED 82 which will see several changes for those preparing financial statements under UK GAAP.
