Evelyn Partners has announced the appointment of Ben Norris as a transaction services partner.

His appointment brings the number of partners in the transaction services team to four.

Norris joins Evelyn Partners from KPMG where he was responsible for providing financial due diligence to lower to mid-market private equity firms.

Prior to that Norris was a partner at Eight Advisory where he built out and led the UK team.

Norris has over 25 years of deal experience through Alvarez and Marsal and originally at PwC.

The transaction services team, led by Mark Benka, advises private equity firms, corporate clients, banks and family offices, providing financial due diligence and sale and purchase agreement (SPA) advice on transactions and also reporting accountant and assist services (led by Neil Cook) in connection with IPOs and other capital markets transactions.

Norris said: “I am very excited to be joining Evelyn Partners. A key factor in me deciding to join Evelyn Partners was the sense of energy, ambition and dynamism, combined with the exceptional quality and experience of the senior team. I am looking forward to working again with Mark, Jonathan and Neil, providing excellent service to our clients, and developing and expanding our team and market share.”

Benka added: “I am delighted that Ben is joining us, a significant hire with an exceptional reputation and proven track record in the private equity market.

“Following on from the appointment of Jonathan Thornton at the end of 2022, this establishes a dynamic four partner transactions services team of renowned experience and further demonstrates our intent to become a leading adviser in our market. We are committed to continuing to invest in the best talent for our team to give our clients high quality, hands-on and insightful advice.”
