London accountancy firm Simmons Gainsford has announced the appointment of Valery Montagnon-Jones as owner-managed business private client tax partner to expand its services.
Montagnon-Jones joins the company, which is part of the Sumer Group, from rival firm Brebners. She will focus on developing tax capabilities for owner-managed businesses and expanding services for the firm’s current clients.
The firm has removed legal suffixes from its corporate branding as part of a wider restructuring.
Montagnon-Jones said: “I am very excited to be joining a larger firm again after many years at a smaller practice, where the expertise in a larger firm offers great opportunity for many clients to provide quality advice using experts across the business.
“In addition, this OMB private client role provides much wider scope to utilise my expertise across a broad client base with input and interaction across many differing tax specialisms – private client, corporate tax, employment taxes and VAT.”
Anthony Rose, head of tax at Simmons Gainsford, added: “I am delighted to have Valery on board to set up a new OMB private client tax team leveraging off her extensive experience in tax and experience of a varied client base.
“This will be of significant benefit to building on our existing private client capability and I wish her every success as we continue our journey of growth as part of the Sumer Group.”
