Moore Kingston Smith has appointed James Bird as an audit partner in its nonprofit team.

Bird has more than 18 years’ audit experience, most of it within the nonprofit sector, and has worked with charities, universities, independent schools and membership bodies in the UK and internationally.

He is recognised for using technology and innovation to deliver tailored audit services, and advises clients on areas including governance, digital transformation and sector-specific risks.

Bird said: “I’m delighted to join Moore Kingston Smith, a firm well known for its nonprofit sector focus and team of passionate specialists. I look forward to collaborating with the team to expand our client service, particularly in areas such as higher education, and helping our clients navigate the sector’s complexities.”

Matt Meadows, managing partner, added: “His extensive experience and understanding of the charity and education sectors will be invaluable to our clients and further bolster our award-winning nonprofit team. James’ commitment to client success reflects our own ambition to help organisations realise their goals.”
