Professional services firm Affinia has appointed Rob Thomson as co-head of tax, joining Paul Mustoe in leading the team.

Thomson has extensive experience advising entrepreneurs and owner-managed businesses, having previously led national service teams and worked with fast-growing companies.

According to Affinia, his appointment underlined its “commitment to investing in talent and expanding its tax services across London, East Anglia and the South East”.

The firm, which has more than 500 staff across 11 offices, works with over 7,000 clients ranging from start-ups to established businesses.

Thomson said: “I’m excited to be joining Affinia at such a pivotal time. The firm’s focus on exceptional client service, its people, and its investment in local communities really stood out to me. I’m looking forward to helping drive its ambitious plans forward.”

Chris Annis, chief commercial officer at Affinia, added: “We’re delighted to welcome Rob to the team. His insight and experience will be invaluable as we scale our tax offering and continue delivering real value to our clients.”
