FRP Corporate Finance has advised the shareholders of specialist electrical contractor, AM Electrics (Renewables), on its sale to HVSS Group, in a deal that will support the company’s continued growth and geographical expansion.

The deal enables AM Electrics (Renewables) to expand into new regions with the management and reputational support of the HVSS Group, whilst also expanding their current service offering and that of the sister company HVSS.

Based in Norfolk, AM Electrics (Renewables) provides installation and maintenance services to commercial and industrial clients predominantly in the construction, rail and renewables sectors; current projects include works with a major plc delivering value for the NHS.

Established in 2014, the business has delivered large-scale solar PV and de-carbonisation projects across the UK.

HVSS Group works with developers and infrastructure partners to deliver electricity, water, gas, fibre, EV and renewable connections across commercial, residential and large-scale construction projects.

FRP’s Corporate Finance team, led by partner James Cooper and assistant manager Lydia Kelsall, was appointed to act as sell-side advisers on the deal.

Cooper said: “This is a great deal for both parties and reflects the continued strength of the UK’s electrical contracting sector, where we continue to see strong demand driven by sustained investment in renewable infrastructure and decarbonisation. With a solid pipeline of contracts, this acquisition puts AM Electrics (Renewables) in a great position to grow its footprint and deliver more projects across a broader range of locations.”

Luke Bradford, director at AM Electrics (Renewables), added: “We’re proud of what we’ve built at AM Electrics (Renewables), and have worked hard to earn a reputation for technical quality and reliability. Joining HVSS marks an exciting step, and their experience and support will help us take on new opportunities and continue growing while staying true to the values that have shaped our success.

“The support provided by James and the team at FRP Corporate Finance was second to none, and their advice, support and exceptional service was crucial in making the deal happen.”
