Moore Kingston Smith, the multi-disciplinary advisory, tax and audit firm, has welcomed new partner, Tim West.

West’s appointment sees him join the firm’s technical team as a partner, set to play a “key role” in shaping the firm’s audit quality, while ensuring it continues to meet evolving regulatory requirements.

Alongside the technical team, West will assist the firm in maintaining a strong audit quality infrastructure, as well as supporting its audit partners and teams to do their jobs effectively with technical guidance, training and best practice, ensuring “audits are conducted to the highest standards while providing excellent client service”.

He previously served as head of Audit at a top 10 accounting firm and led the financial services audit team of a top five firm. His experience covers a diverse range of clients, from small and medium-sized businesses to larger Public Interest Entities.

West said: “With strong values and appetite for growth, it’s great to join Moore Kingston Smith’s team, which is clearly focused on progress and quality. Audit is important work, done best when we enjoy it, and I look forward to helping equip our teams with the skills, tools and support they need to continue to deliver our clients the assurance their businesses rely on.”

Matt Meadows, managing partner of Moore Kingston Smith, added: “Investing in top talent like Tim, along with our AI and data analytics capabilities, drives continuous innovation in our methodology and processes. Tim’s expertise strengthens our teams’ ability to quickly understand the complexities of our clients’ businesses and regulatory environments, providing long-term value and confidence.”
