Gerald Edelman has announced that its Corporate Finance team has advised Birch Faraday Capital on the acquisition of Highbury Support Services Limited. Highbury Support Services is a provider of supported living services for learning disabilities, physical disabilities and mental health needs.
The company was founded as a family partnership in 1996, providing respite care for an individual in a private residence. Based in Denbighshire, North Wales, Highbury Support provides supported living, domiciliary care and day centre care services for adults living with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and mental health needs.
Meanwhile, Birch Faraday Capital is a UK-based search fund and investment firm focused on acquiring and growing established small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the healthcare sector.
The acquisition of Highbury Support Services Limited is the second acquisition by Birch Faraday Capital in 15 months.
Gerald Edelman acted as a buy-side financial adviser, performing detailed financial due diligence, reviewing working capital and net debt, as well as general advice in relation to the transaction.
William Abell, partner and head of Transaction Services at Gerald Edelman, said: “It was a pleasure to advise the Birch Faraday team on their second acquisition and we look forward to seeing the company grow and thrive under Birch Faraday’s ownership.”
Darnell Irozuru, managing director of Birch Faraday Capital, added: “The acquisition of Highbury Support Services aligns perfectly with our commitment to expanding high-quality supported living services. We are excited to build upon the strong foundations laid by the Highbury team and continue delivering exceptional care to individuals with complex needs.
