BDO has announced the appointment of Paula Holland, Alan Walsh and Polina Nikolaev as audit partners, as they possess 60 years of experience between them.

Holland joins BDO’s Manchester office from KPMG, with a focus on strengthening the firm’s networks across the region.

She specialises in working with listed and privately-owned businesses, and has “extensive” experience across professional services, manufacturing and construction sectors.

Meanwhile, Walsh joins the firm’s Birmingham office from PwC, with a focus on audit quality, culture and people development.

His audit experience spans a range of industries, including the energy and utilities sector. He also has expertise working with large components of UK and overseas listed groups.

In addition, Nikolaev joins BDO’s London audit group from KPMG and will be working to grow the US-listed businesses sector. She has experience working with both UK and US-listed businesses, as well as privately-owned companies.

Anna Draper, head of people, culture and purpose at BDO, said: “Paula, Alan and Polina bring a wealth of experience and sector expertise to BDO. These appointments are a key part of our ongoing investment into delivering quality audits.

“Having the right people in place across all our offices to support audited entities through the complex areas of audit and assurance is vital.”
