BDO has strengthened its audit team in East Anglia with the appointment of Daniel Foster as partner in its Cambridge office.

Foster joins the firm from EY, where he has spent 14 years of his career, the last two of which as audit partner.

He brings a wealth of experience in working with mid-market companies and listed businesses, as well as large private businesses, both private equity-backed and owner managed.

Regarding his appointment, Foster said: “I’m really looking forward to working alongside the team to build the Cambridge office, both by giving people the opportunity to develop and grow, as well as strengthening our position in the local market.”

Peter Harrup, head of BDO in East Anglia, added: “Daniel has an excellent reputation in the region and will add real value to our audit proposition as we look to build our local market presence.

“In particular, he will further bolster our expertise and experience in the mid-market. Entrepreneurial, mid-sized businesses are our market heartland and an area where the firm has achieved strong and sustainable growth in recent years. We’re delighted to have someone of his calibre on board; someone with a real understanding of the regional business landscape.”
