MHA, the UK member of Baker Tilly International, has been formally accepted as members of the UN Global Compact Network as a key participant in the audit accountancy and assurance sector.

As members, MHA has devised an operationally aligned internal ESG Framework that embeds the UNGCN’s 10 Principles of social and environmental sustainability. The firm said this will enable it to measure its impact effectively with the UNGCN’s annual Communication on Progress report which holds them accountable to the global frameworks.

Mark Lumsdon Taylor, partner and head of Sustainability and ESG, said: “As a new member of UNGCN we were enthused by the feedback we received from our SDG Pioneer application and along with our membership, this will only inspire us to continue to further develop our ESG ambitions for the firm. We are committed to leading with ambition with our bold goals to shape a socially responsible and sustainable future.”

MHA added it is committed to being active, engaged members with UNGCN and has already contributed expertise by leading a sustainability reporting panel discussion to a global audience of 900 delegates.

MHA said this membership takes the firm to “yet another level of sustainability commitment” after they joined the UN Race to Zero campaign in 2021.
