BDO has announced the appointment of Andrew Radford as its new national head of professional services.

Radford has more than 15 years of experience working across the professional services sector.

He will be taking over the role from Nick Carter-Peg, who will remain a partner within the firm’s professional services team.

In his new position, Radford will continue to work alongside a range of professional services organisations including those in the legal, accountancy, consulting and executive search sectors.

Since joining BDO in 2004, Radford has worked with a variety of global and domestic professional services, as well as a large number of private equity-backed businesses and those listed on the main market and AIM.

Radford said: “I am delighted to be taking on the role of head of professional services. I would like to thank Nick for all the work he has done over the last 15 years to develop a knowledgeable and high performing team of over 180 people across our audit, tax and advisory practices.

“My aim is to continue to build on this work, maintaining BDO’s reputation as experts in this sector and working closely with the ambitious and dynamic businesses across the sector to offer trusted assurance, advice and guidance.”

Carter-Pegg added: “I’ve taken much pride in holding this position for the last 15 years and helping to grow our fantastic team of individuals.

“Andrew is a natural successor to me and has proven his abilities across the last 15 years of working with a huge range of businesses in the sector. Firms are increasingly requiring more complex and technical advice and I look forward to seeing Andrew continue to develop and shape the team and its capabilities to deliver the highest quality work for the businesses we work with.”
