RSM UK has announced the appointment of Stuart Clowser as its new head of private equity.
Clowser will lead RSM’s cross-discipline private equity team focused on all aspects of the private equity environment, including funds, transactions and portfolio companies.
He is a member of the BVCAs accounting committee and has played a key part in building RSM’s fund audit practice and client base within the private equity market.
He succeeds Charlie Jolly who has been head of private equity for nine years at the firm and now joins the consulting leadership team.
Having trained at RSM, he was previously a fund audit partner, and has extensive experience advising private equity funds.
In his new role, he will build on RSM’s success supporting the private equity market; and continue to develop and grow its specialist private equity team.
Clowser said: “This is an exciting time in RSM’s continued growth and investment in the private capital market. Private capital is a catalyst for growth, and there are over 12,000 UK backed companies which currently employ over 2.2 million people across the UK nationally.
“Our growing specialist team has the nuanced expertise, experience and capability to help private equity firms, and support their investment and management teams to successfully develop the businesses they back.”
Kirsty Sandwell, head of consulting at RSM UK, added: “Stuart’s knowledge and experience of the regulatory market is invaluable in supporting our private equity clients and RSM’s global position in the private equity market. It’s great to have his expertise to shape and continue to grow our solution offering.”
