Seasonal closure of HMRC’s self-assessment helpline ‘short-sighted’, warns RSM
In particular, it warned it could be detrimental to taxpayers who are due to make payments on 31 July, as well as those in society who are ‘digitally excluded’
In response to HMRC’s plan to trial a seasonal self-assessment helpline from 12 June 2023, RSM UK has warned that the closure of the line is “short-sighted” and will come as an “unwelcome shock” to many taxpayers.
