Capital and Regional has revealed it has appointed Mazars LLP as the company’s auditor for the financial year ending 30 December 2023.

The news comes after Deloitte stepped down as auditor of the company during its annual general meeting.

Deloitte stated that in line with the resolution approved at the AGM Mazars LLP have been appointed as the company’s auditor for the financial year ending 30 December 2023.

It is also not seeking reappointment as auditors of the company and, accordingly, will cease to hold office at the conclusion of the accounts meeting held on 25 May 2023.

Deloitte said: “The reasons for our ceasing to hold office is the fact that we will shortly reach our maximum tenure under s494ZA Companies Act 2006 at which time we could no longer act. The engagement partner has reached the end of their maximum tenure, and as a new partner could only do one additional year, it is reasonable to resign as auditors at the same time.”
