SBP Accountants and Business Advisers has announced the appointment of Mark Rhynas to the role of tax manager within the firm’s Aberdeen office.
Rhynas has joined the 34-person team at the Northeast firm following 11 years working within accountancy in the Aberdeen area.
During his career, he has specialised in research and development tax, employee share schemes, corporate and personal tax, as well as tax planning and capital gains.
SBP has offices in Peterhead, Fraserburgh and Banff, and works with a number of businesses, ranging from sole traders to corporate businesses.
Rhynas said: “I enjoy working with clients directly, getting to know them and helping them to save money whilst navigating the world of tax, both corporate and personal.
“I have a strong accountancy background and will help clients to better prepare for tax, whilst also developing a better tax function within SBP and bringing a fresh approach in terms of any changes in taxation.”
John Hannah, managing partner at SBP, said: “Mark is a key appointment to the growing SBP team and will be responsible for creating and building a stronger tax department within the business.
“This is a brilliant appointment for the business and especially for our clients and I’m looking forward to Mark’s input to strengthen the business.”
