FRP Advisory has advised blinds and curtains manufacturer Norwich Sunblinds on its sale to Anglian Windows Limited, a home improvements firm, for an undisclosed amount.

Headquartered in Norfolk, Norwich Sunblinds manufactures a wide range of made-to-measure blinds, curtains and shutters at its factory in Attleborough. The family-run firm was established in 1978 by John Reddington, and has a loyal customer base predominantly located across Norfolk and North Suffolk

It currently employs 17 people who will all stay with the business following the sale.

The acquisition of Norwich Sunblinds will reportedly provide Anglian Windows Limited, which is also based in Norfolk, with a larger footprint in the region and further extends its product offering to customers.

FRP Corporate Finance partner Jon Dodge and associate director Joanne Price provided lead advisory services for Norwich Sunblinds. The team negotiated and managed a competitive sales process from inception to completion.

Commenting on the deal, Price said: “Norwich Sunblinds is a much-loved and well-respected business in Norfolk, with a loyal customer base that stretches across multiple generations.

“This highly complementary acquisition will help to unlock significant growth opportunities for Anglian Windows, bringing new products and additional talent to the newly expanded business. We wish them all the very best for the future.”

Fiona Garwood, director at Norwich Sunblinds, added: “I am extremely proud of the business our family has built over the last four decades and this strategic acquisition by Anglian Windows represents an exciting new chapter of growth for the enlarged business. We would like to thank Jon and Jo for their assistance with this process.”
