Andy Bostock has been a member of KPMG’s Birmingham office leadership team for the last seven years, and in his new role, he will lead KPMG’s office in Birmingham which employs more than 1,300 people

KPMG has announced the appointment of its new office senior partner, Andy Bostock, for the firm’s Birmingham office. He will be taking over from Karl Edge to lead the business advisory firm’s remit in the Midlands.

Bostock joined the firm 26 years ago and reportedly has more than a decade of partner experience. His experience lies in providing audit, governance, risk management and compliance services across the public sector.

Previously, Bostock was KPMG’s UK head of public sector audit, before moving to lead the Birmingham office consulting team in 2020. He has been a member of KPMG’s Birmingham office leadership team for the last seven years, and in his new role, he will lead KPMG’s office in Birmingham which employs more than 1,300 people.

Bostock said: “I am thrilled to be taking over the helm of KPMG’s Birmingham office at such an important time in the continued recovery of the Midlands economy, alongside the all-important levelling up agenda.

“The Midlands has a great deal to be proud of just now. The Commonwealth Games is set to put us at the centre of the world stage, Birmingham is becoming an increasingly desirable destination for blue-chip businesses, and HS2 will cement the region’s pivotal position in the UK economy. All this combined provides long-term momentum for growth in the region.”

He added: “We have a brilliant team here in the city and right across the Midlands that is full of talent, market-leading expertise and is growing. I look forward to leading our office in our work alongside businesses and public sector organisations throughout the region.”

Karl Edge, KPMG’s head of private enterprise business in the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, said: “Leading KPMG’s Birmingham office has been an absolute privilege. It is fantastic to have supported the business community in the Midlands and played a part in the success of so much diverse ambition.

“I’m delighted to pass the KPMG Birmingham Office baton on to Andy, who recognises the huge potential in the full range of Midlands’ businesses, from family businesses to some of the UK’s largest privately owned companies; they are in capable hands.”
