RSM has helped Permaroof secure funding from UK-based private equity firm, Owner Venture Managers.

The investment, along with support from funders Beechbrook Capital and Investec Capital Solutions, will allow Permaroof to build on its success to date and fulfil its “ambitious” expansion plans for greater market penetration, roll out of products and acquisition of businesses.

Established in 2000 and based in Derbyshire, PermaGroup Limited, and its subsidiary Permaroof is an importer and distributor of residential EPDM roofing products for both trade and direct markets.

According to RSM, Permaroof has grown “significantly” over the years, expanding its product range to include rooflights and skylights, metal fence panels and artificial grass.

RSM’s M&A and private equity team supported the shareholders in identifying potential investors, negotiating the deal terms and project managing the deal through to completion.

The transaction was led by corporate finance partner Helen Brocklebank, with support from David Rowlinson, Alexander Harris and Kishor Balendran.

Brocklebank said: “Permaroof has led the way in bringing innovative, leading products to the market. We’re delighted to have helped such a forward-looking business in its pivotal stage of growth and look forward to seeing it continue its success in partnership with OVM.”

Adrian Buttress, managing director at PermaGroup, added: “The investment from Owner Venture Managers will allow us to continue our ambitious growth journey and support our mission to provide permanent solutions to age old problems. We’re excited for what’s to come.”
