Azets announced it has acquired DanAccount, a Danish accountancy and payroll firm as of 1 February 2022 for an undisclosed sum.

It revealed that by bringing in “talented” teams across the Nordic countries and the UK, Azets not only grows its business, but also opens up “exciting” opportunities for people through skill development and collaboration, all while adding a wider range of digital and advisory services to benefit its customers.

Since its establishment five years ago, the firm said DanAccount has experienced a “steep” growth curve. To ensure continued good customer service and employee development, owners Martin T. Bruun and Semir Sirbubalo have therefore been looking for a larger professional environment to release the potential from.

June Mejlgaard Jensen, managing director of Azets, Denmark, said: Martin and Semir have done amazingly well, and we have great respect for the company they created with their talented employees.

“With us, DanAccount’s clients and employees will join a larger environment with more muscle and with the same focus on customer service and quality. We look forward to giving them all a warm welcome.”

Bruun added: “The demand from the market shows that there is a huge potential for our way of working with clients’ finances, salaries and accounts. Even though we offer competitive working conditions, we find it difficult to recruit in line with the need.”
