Hazlewoods corporate finance team has announced that it has advised private equity firm ScaleUp Capital on its latest multi-million-pound investment.

ScaleUp Capital has added Sanctus to its growing portfolio. Sanctus was set up five years ago to provide personal coaching and mentoring sessions to its subscribers’ employees. The company now works with hundreds of businesses and high-profile blue-chip clients including Red Bull, Octopus and Boston Consulting Group.

In 2021 Sanctus coaches delivered 9,000 hours of personal coaching sessions, with advocates saying that it has reduced sick days and improved employee performance.

Rich Grover, corporate finance Associate director at Hazlewoods, said: “It was a pleasure to work with ScaleUp Capital again. The team’s excellent track record speaks for itself.

“ScaleUp’s executives are experts in supporting ambitious businesses and accelerating their growth. I am sure that Sanctus has a very bright future.”

James Routledge, who co-founded Sanctus said: “Since 2016 we’ve done a lot with relatively little investment, steadily building a strong foundation of incredible partners and world class coaches. I’m so proud of what we’ve done to pioneer a real movement around workplace well-being and now is the right time for us to invest in amplifying our impact.”

Frank Hyman, managing director of ScaleUp Capital, added: “Sanctus’ coaching has already delivered outstanding outcomes for their clients, and we are delighted to be part of the next chapter.”
