Gandell has advised on a “large array” of different businesses from start-ups through to large international and listed groups. During his career, he has worked with “a number” of tech businesses advising them through investment cycles with either private equity or venture capitalist investment.

The firm said he also spent two years in the US working with many types of technology businesses throughout Silicon Valley and went on to support a software business during its exit to a US acquirer.

At MHA Gandell will be focussed on businesses in the technology landscape together with large, international, and listed businesses.

Rakesh Shaunak, partner and group chairman, said: “Technology has always been a key sector for MHA MacIntyre Hudson and with the appointment of a specialist of Andrew’s calibre, we will be able to assist even further with this growing and innovative industry.”

Gandell added: “As part of the Baker Tilly International network our global footprint means we can support dynamic and expanding tech businesses with ambitious growth plans, in any territory they wish to do business.”
